Want to learn web development for free? Here is a list of Top 5 Free online resources.

Today, you can find almost anything and everything online. If a person wants to learn something, he or she is no more dependant on an offline or traditional way of learning.  There are tons of online resources available. They can be free as well as paid.

But, Today we will talk about only the free resources available and which I personally use to polish my skills. Here is a list-

1. w3schools

 

W3schools is among the largest and the most popular website to learn web development. It has tons of detailed online courses to learn from for front-end and back-end development. It has an integrated practice console along with examples that enhance students’ learning experience.

Some of the courses are HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap 3/4, Javascript, Jquery, PHP/ Mysql, C,C++,Python, React, AngularJS etc.

Because of its well-structured layout and ease of usage, It is highly recommended for beginners.

BONUS TIP: It does have a youtube channel as well in case you feel more comfortable learning through video lectures.

2. MDN web docs (previously Mozilla development network)

 

They have a large online library to browse from. It covers almost every topic you need. They also have live output console for self-assessment while learning.

They feature courses like HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Java, and advanced topics like NodeJS, Ember, React, Vue, Python, Django framework, and so on.

3. GeeksforGeeks

If you are a web developer or a computer science student, you must have heard of this platform.

Geeksforgeeks is generally considered as a Wikipedia for Computer Science students. It contains different CS subjects like Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating systems, DBMS, Compiler design, Software Engineering, etc. The platform provides tutorials for different programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, PHP, Pearl, Golang, Kotlin, etc.

It also provides material for exam preparation for GATE, ISRO, and UGC NET.

Another free platform having tutorials in different categories like web development, B.tech/MCA subjects, Database, Trending technologies.

They do provide interview preparation material as well.
